Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about domain names, my role as a broker, and how I can help you get the best domain for your business.

A domain name is the address that allows people to access a specific website. It can be purchased through a domain name registrar — though some domain names are more sought after than others and may already be in use.
A domain name broker uses tools and industry knowledge to reach the owner of a wanted domain and negotiates the best price to allow the buyer to purchase the name.
Using a broker allows you to concentrate on your core business. A broker has the expertise needed to seek out and negotiate the best price for a domain name you'd like.
I have several years of experience working for large domain name brokerages on deals amounting to millions of dollars, so you can trust that you're in the right hands. I'm also a family man and a business owner — I understand how precious time is, so I'll be accessible and keep you up to date with progress throughout.
It depends on various factors, such as who owns the domain and whether the company is active or inactive. However, the typical acquisition time from engagement to transfer is six to eight weeks.
Nothing upfront. I am success-based, so I don't charge a fee until you have your desired domain. The cost of the domain itself will vary depending on factors including length, extension (.com, .io, .co), the industry it applies to, and demand. During your welcome call, I'll discuss the domain's likely value with you as well as the overall steps involved.
Absolutely. I believe in transparency and building a relationship with my clients, and I'm always on hand for any questions you have.
We'll start with an initial call to get to know each other and discuss your needs, timing, and the expected costs involved. From there, I'll be in touch regularly to let you know of any progress.
